i own an imac G5 and a PC, i hate having 2 keyboards and 2 mice.

what i would like to do is share the one keyboard and mouse between both computers, but all i can seem to find are KVM switches, but all i want is a switch that has USB and nothing else, does anyone know of anything i could use ?

I just bought something like that from the US, to switch between two Macs. It works quite well, and I'm very happy with it.

Edit:

After you get something like this, you might find this MacOSXHints.com articles useful.

Slightly to your left... and up a bit!

Cool - that looks like the business. Have you noticed any lag having it patched through the switch?

just wondering...
why a usb switch when what you need to have is just two usb extension cable?
one for each 'puter..
a simple two-step job with no lag to worry about

You could also get a USB KVM and just _not_use_ the monitor ports.

You mean like in games? I haven't had any problems playing games like Command and Conquerer or Knights of the Old Republic.

There is a short delay in switching between one computer and the other. Switching also causes both computers to wake from sleep.

I was using manually swapping the keyboard over before hand, but it's just too much annoyance. Now I just whack a button, and half a sec later, have access to the other computer.

USB Switches are around $30 or so. Try to get one that has a rotary switch rather than push button, as I have found them to be considerably more reliable.
