The best on the market is screenflow. Check the articles section, I did a review of it.

Ishowu is good but it's more of a standard cam tool and doesn't offer much in the line of editing.

Camtasia also released a product for mac but I haven't had a chance to test it.

I completely agree with MissionMan. ScreenFlow is the best all round tool. Even if you're just capturing the screen and editing elsewhere, ScreenFlow seems to do a better job than iShowU.

Does ScreenFlow have an option to make the mouse on each click show a red circle so the user when they are watching the screencast can easily see what clicking has been done?

Yup. You can also have a sound on click and show what keys were used. I.e. What was typed in on the keyboard. I suggest you download a trial and play with it.

Click the image to open in full size.

Are any of these programs good for recording live video (ie. YouTube)? I remember Camtasia on Windows did this quite poorly, the frame rate was terrible.

there are easier ways to get youtube but most of these programs on mac you can select the output frame rate. Just make sure you turn off the adaptive framerate option. It reduces the frame rate when there is little movement on the screen to reduce the filesize so if its video you're capture, you'd be best to capture at a specific frame rate.
