They've been in OSX for some time now - previously they were hidden under App Name > Services, which would list every single service, whether appropriate or not.

With Snow Leopard, now services are smarter and only display services appropriate for the application/selection, as well as being found in the contextual menus.

For example, I can highlight this text and select 'Send to ShoveBox' from my services menu. Easy!
Or speak selected text, or look up in dictionary, etc etc etc

Default [Service] Tweet URL

Tweet URL is a Snow Leopard service that will open up Twitter with the status message as the URL that was selected.
Extract into /Users/<username>/Library/Services/

i made an uninstall service for AppCleaner while the Snow Leopard beta was out (can also be used for AppZapper or CleanApp i presume).

all you do is fire up Automator and make a service for files and folders in Finder then add an Open Finder Items action with AppCleaner and save it as "Uninstall".

Click the image to open in full size.

then when you right click on an application "Uninstall" will appear in the contextual menu and clicking it will open the application in AppCleaner ready to delete.

Click the image to open in full size.

unfortunately the service will also show up for folders and i dont know how to only make it available for files, or even better just ".app" files. maybe a script might help that?

I am loving the new services in Snow Leopard, it just kicks ass. I've made a few scripts to make my life a little easier, I'm no Applescript expert so if any improvement can be made, let me know.

You can download the services and either copy them to ~/Library/Services or open them in Automator and save/tweak them.

Convert Pages document to PDF in current location

Create new Mail Attachment - I know this already exists but my version, if it's a pages document and not a PDF will convert it to PDF and attach it.

Print Selected Item to chosen printer - This requires you to edit your printer in Automator.

Unrar all rar files, either r00 or part01 files in the folder selected - Because I download Usenet files, and there always in parts, and I download lots of them, this script extracts them all.
To run this you need to install the CLI tool unrar from rarlabs.com and install it using the instructions here

Grab em here:

Right, got a new one - for those of you that use Dropbox and it's Public folder option a lot, this could be useful.

Alternatively, there's the Droplet:
