Default Handbrake issue - only rips half the file....

Trying to rip my Battlestar Galactica DVDs (yeah I know, its pretty geeky ) to the HD on my trusty old Powermac G4 (10.4.11 therefore not the latest version of Handbrake which is G5 only...), and its not happy..

Have used Handbrake just fine on other DVDs. But with these ones it will only rip the first 20-24 minutes of an episode, and then happily declare its work here is done

Have tried it straight off the disc, and off a ripped file using Mac the Ripper - same result both ways.

Any hot tips on whats up?

First, are you sure ALL the chapters are selected in the title? I don't know how those DVDs are filed. Also, although it may sound weird, but are the episodes split across DVD titles?

Those are the two things that would affect what Handbrake rips....and if you don't know what I'm talking about I can give screenshots.

When I select the title in Handbrake, it has the length listed (41min per title/episode - the 4 episodes per DVD matched by 4 titles available in Handbrake menu, plus a couple of little ones that would be menus and intros) Always stops at the 21-22 minutes....

I tried Fairmount as well to mount an image, and Handbraked off that - identical result

Looking like I am up against some high end encryption....
