Default Eyetv 3.1.2

The 3.1.2 update that just installed left my system non-functional and the console now shows "/Library/Application Support/EyeTV: Operation not permitted" every time I try to start EyeTV

Make sure you have a backup before you try this one.

And a big shout out to the engineers who worked on time machine.

Thanks for the heads up.

EyeTV is nice, but honestly there are some serious bugs aren't there!
I cannot update within EyeTV and have to get support to send me the url to download it standalone.

running on my G4 Dual MDD, updated today and all seems fine. If anything, it seems a bit slicker.

I read through the new features and bug fixes and none of it seemed to really catch my eye so I opted to skip this update. Things have been running very smoothly with the last version. How often do they usually do updates anyhow?

Running fine for me on Leopard and Ice TV. The update was actually easier than usual, and the schedules I had set up previously are working - Being Human recorded on Friday night with no issues. Merlin is set to start recording at 6.30pm tonight and everything looks set to go.

Default Goin' NUTZ: No EPG

I've been unable to access an EPG for my eyetv since 3.0.3... every new update promises that it will work... but it doesnt. It finds the channels and it retains any scedules already in place but I can NOT get a guide. Not from IceTV (preferred, since I am paid up until December) nor from the standard.

I'm really pissed off about it, I had the same issue with my old Pinnacle stick and now on the Diversity.

Must be a system issue but I am on Leopard with all updates etc in place.

Anyone got ANY ideas? I'm now having to reinstall 3.0.3. Again.

I'm on 3.1.1 and have no issue with accessing IceTV or DVB guides.

Can you receive any DVB information or guides broadcast by the stations themselves?

on 3.0.3 yes, on 3.0.4 yes but no icetv. on 3.1.2 neither of them. Its really incredibly annoying.

[edit] Previous edit removed... I couldnt get anything when I downgraded. The stick wasn't being recognised at all.. I've now appzappered it and reinstalled from scratch with the software that came with the stick (3.0.3) and doubt that I will ever try to update again. What a pest.
