Default Polls: Which bakground? White or Black?

One thing that I don't like with OSX it is the fact I cannot use the background colour I want. And this is regarding not just the folders (I can't make the text white or grey) but also the websites I'm visiting.

I personally like much more reading websites like this: Mac Tricks and Tips, Wallpapers and Applications for Mac Users

Could I create a CSS for Safari? Has someone already done that?

And is there a system to change the colour of the text in OSX so that I can have dark background in the folders?

Who's the same view as I have? And what is your opinion?

Edited:
Ohh I forgot to mention Mail...

Personally, and without wishing to offend any die hard Apple fans, I feel that Leopard... sucks.

Less options than Tiger.

I had a strange compulsion as a child to make our Windows machines as eye-shattering as possible. Electric orange desktop, fluorescent green windows, bright yellow menu bars and magenta text in comic sans.

People like me are the reason Apple don't let you change OS X's colours.

Black text, on a white page.
Black text, on a white page.
And again
Black text, on a white page.

Reason I love Mac.

Don't mess with it.

If nothing else, I'm sure reading white text on a black background would cause more eyestrain...

I've check it out but this is not what I'm after, too unstable as I ws reading and anyway I do not want to change th emenus but only the background colou of the folders, having text turning from black to white (or grey).

I personally find much mora ttractive dark grey backgrounds with white/light gray text. Especially because I work a lot at night and no matter how much you turn down the brightness the whites looks still too white ocmpared to the rest that looks dark.

SO>>>

Guys what about CCS for Safari? Has anyone done it?

I really don't do much programming these days... but I thought CSS (style sheets?) were used page (or site) by site... not to over-ride every page/site that you visit?

As such, it's more about changing the browser's defaults? (to achieve this abomination you speak of )
