Default NFS Mount without AutoFS

Subtle Pretext: Not the least bit interested in Go -> Connect To Server.

Anyone know how to get Leopard Server to do an NFS mount on boot without using AutoFS?
Directory Utility uses AutoFS, and /etc/fstab.hd isn't used. Any clues?
AutoFS is typically (mildly) unreliable and shouldn't be used for semi-important stuff on servers. A regular fstab-styled mount would make me less concerned.
