jeds-computer:/Volumes jed# ls -alrt
total 24 -rwxrwxrwx 1 jed jed 82 Sep 25 2007 ._IPOD -rwxrwxrwx 1 jed jed 82 Sep 25 2007 ._jedPod drwxr-xr-x 3 root admin 102 Jan 6 2008 XP Pro d0s2 drwxr-xr-x 11 jed jed 476 Sep 17 22:54 Backup d0s1 drwxrwxr-t 35 root admin 1292 Oct 8 23:33 .. lrwxr-xr-x 1 root admin 1 Oct 8 23:33 System d1 -> / drwxrwxrwt 7 root admin 238 Oct 8 23:35 . Trying to remove "XP Pro d0s2" mount point because OS X keep mounting a new mount point "XP Pro d0s2 1" when I want it to "use XP Pro d0s2"! I was user admin usr "jed" but I noticed that the owner of this dir is "root" so I assigned a pwd for root (could have sworn it was always the same as jed) and went in and did the above but still no go! jeds-computer:/Volumes root# rm "XP Pro d0s2" rm: XP Pro d0s2: No such file or directory Even tried... jeds-computer:/Volumes root# rm -rf "XP Pro d0s2" But it's still there!!! WTF is going on!! jeds-computer:/Volumes root# ls ._IPOD ._jedPod Backup d0s1 System d1 XP Pro d0s2 suicidally, jed |
