I went through the same problem with activating The Tube, but after downloading the 15 day demo and use the serial code that came with the box, I manage to get it running.
But it is the same problem when I try to run the MediaCentral, it keeps asking to be activated. My serial that comes with the box is said to be invalid. How can I get it activated, any idea? |

Same problem as everyone else; can't register because The Tube programme can't access the licensing server. Getting the time-out message.
Y'know, there's a point when trying to preserve your profits through an unreasonable licensing regime starts to affect the product itself. Having to sign up for some useless ID that asks for information I really don't want to give (why do you need to know where I live, Equinux?) because I want to watch crappy tv on my laptop seemed suss from the start. Christ, I knew I should've got something compatible with EyeTV. |

equinux - Website Just to clarify: The issue is not actually the server – some copies of The Tube on CD unfortunately had an issue where they don't wait long enough for your internet connection to respond. As far as why there are fields for adress information: Your equinux ID information is also used for things like sending people spare parts or products purchased in our online store. If there's anything else we can help you guys with, you can always get in touch directly as well: equinux - Website |

We purchased six boxed Miglia TVMini2's at work, from Powermove, in Melbourne, about 2 months ago . We tried to install three of them on individual current iMacs (using OSX Panther) after downloading the latest software version from the Website . When trying to activate the registration by entering the product key, each key entered came up with the response 'Product key in use by another user" (or something to that effect). Tried to contacted Miglia but no response even after 8 weeks!. Contacted Powermove who gave us three new product keys and said "they have not experienced this problem before" . However even with the new keys we got the same error message on each of the machines and a new machine that had not had the software previously loaded.
I have taken one (of the three we opened) home to try and load onto my G4 1Ghz iMac at home, using the software version 1.5.5 which is the version that is suited to this machine. When I try to activate I get the "The Tube could not connect to the licensing server" "bad server certificate" message and the software then bombs out (quits) so I cannot even get to where I enter the product key! My boss wants all of them sent back to Powermove. We have wasted hours at work on this and plus the hours I have spent on it here at home. It seems crazy that we are having this trouble trying to activate the software with a system incapable of being understood by mere mortals. |

I had a quick response from Euinux after I sent them the six product codes for each of the TVMiglia2 we (work) purchased; thank you.
The" cannot connect to server issue was solved" by downloading the new version 2.9.3, It is a pity the message did not say "download new version" rather than the message it does give but perhaps that is too hard, and who cares about giving customers a bit of frustration ! HOWEVER THE ACTIVATION ISSUE IS STILL NOT RESOLVED. It appears that Euinux has transfered the 6 software Keys to my Euinux ID. At least that is the way it appears to me. I thought they would have reset the software keys so anyone could activate them as a 1st user, but perhaps I am missing something. I entered one of our six licenses on my home Mac and it worked fine, so I presumed the others would also, but now I am at work and and even using my Euinux ID under which all the keys are listed, I cannot get an activation using the software keys in the boxes as I am getting that same old message to the effect that " software is registered to another user." which is crazy as the one I chose to enter on my home computer, worked! I might not be the full quid when it comes to computers, but I am sure it would be easier to get into Fort Knox than just trying to activate software to watch TV on a Mac using TVMiglia2. Hi I had this problem:
The certificate by equinux is for equinux - Website and not for activate.equinux.com So i did this: go to https://activate.equinux.com with your browser (i'm not sure if/how this works with browsers other than safari) if it doesnt accept the certificate, it displays it and you can drag it to your desktop. double click it, allow it and add it to the key chain. The activation then worked for me. edit: reading again i stumbled over the link from equinux support, i cant find right now, but pointing to the solution too (to bad i didnt read properly before, could have saved me an hour or two...) but here it is again: equinux - Website Accept the certificate manually * Open Safari (not Firefox or Opera) * Go to the equinux Online store * When prompted, select 'Show certificate' * Check the box labeled 'Always trust equinux - Website' and hit 'Continue' * Restart your equinux software and try activating again You should now be able to activate your software using your equinux ID and password Last edited by goudaman; 25th August 2009 at 07:20 PM. |
