Hi I'm a beginner investor and I'm looking around for a good software for analysing shares on the ASX anyone have any good suggestions?

I use FOREXYARD (Windows only) for foreign exchange trading, I run in on my mac through VMware Fusion. Nice and easy.

Memo: Because Leopard is such a new OS, many Developers haven't gotten round to creating specific software for it, hence the ability to use Boot Camp or Parallels or VMware Fusion to run Windows XP or Vista etc - straight on an Apple Mac at the same blistering Apple Mac speeds, is certainly a bonus.

I have just purchased a Macbook Pro. I trade the US stock market using charting software called Esignal. Unfortunately Mac does not support this software or my trading platform Strategy Runner. my question is how well does Fusion or Parallel run PC programs? will I lose much speed? Do I need to install anti virus software to protect my mac when running PC programs???

Have a look at this article for more info on running parallels vs fusion.

If you're running windows (even on a mac) you should protect yourself as you would on a window machine.
