Default Applecare

Just went to buy Applecare, for my Mac Mini, from one of our sponsors and "lo" -they no longer sell it, any clues where to get it now ( other than Apple or retailers that sell at RRP). Not real keen on eBay too many bad stories.

Are eBay AppleCare sellers really dodgy? Have been looking as need to buy soon for my iMac. I thought I had seen a fair few forum members mention it as good cheap option.

NextByte price is full RRP, and quite frankly, they're hopeless.

Yes, they are dodgy. They can generate fake AppleCare policy numbers, which if they don't fail when you try to apply the APP number on Apple's applecare page, Apple will eventually get around to investigation and eventually voiding the APP number you've been supplied. Also, Apple have stated that they won't honour APPs bought on eBay.

I bought 2 applecare products from ebay, and they both registered perfectly, and apple even sent out documentation for them...so i'm not sure if ALL are dodgy...
