Mac Mini Optical audio cable

Hi,

I was wondering if anyone could point me in the direction (link to buying online hopefully) the optical audio cable that works best with a mac mini to plug into my amp to get 5.1 sound.

I can only seem to find cables that do not have the adapter for the mini?

You need a 3.5mm Optical to TOSLink cable: 1m Fibre Optic Toslink To 35mm Cable: Cable Chick

If you already have any spare toslink to toslink cable's you can get an adapter (toslink-35mm) for about $3 from jaycar.

Was best solution for me as I could not find 35mm to toslink cables over 1m.

Most electrical/home theatre places (think Dick Smiths, JB HiFi etc) will have them, but oscar is right, they're generally pretty short. You can also get "joiners" which are basically just a small plastic clip to join two toslink cables together.
