Unhappy Green line on my 24 inch 2.8 ghz imac

Hi

I have a green line on the left hand side of my screen running from the top of the screen to the bottom. Has anyone had this problem at all, maybe there is another post about this somewhere but should I pack this up and phone Apple support?

I have only had this iMac for 2 months, I have not upgraded it at all.

That will definitely get replaced under warranty. Back everything up, then take it into an Apple store.

I don't drive but there is a Next Byte store which is the only closest store to me, would that be okay to take it back there? I bought it at David Jones Castle Hill.

Do it at the Sydney Store.

I personally wouldn't go to Next Byte (bad experiences several times). I'd take it to the Apple Store myself if you have the box. Otherwise, call Apple and maybe they can send someone out since you're under warranty. Or buy AppleCare for it and say you have APP too.

I had the same issue (blue line) on my old PowerBook that got fixed.

Next Byte can't do anything about it anyway, so I will phone apple care.

I can't believe this has happened, the thing is only 6 weeks old. Now I will have to get a weekday off to arrange for a tech to come over and check the problem out.

Well back to the Mac, I had it fixed within a week and the LCD screen has to be replaced. So I went to a Next Byte store so they could send it to their service centre. Now it is all working as normal, one week is great service.

Yeah I sure did, I don't drive so I went to the Castle Hill store and then they sent it to the Baulkham Hills store.
