You can try to 'unstick' the pixel, using software that no doubt someone below me will post soon.

Alternatively, you could call Apple, however you will need to make it clear that you 'use the machine in a professional environment, and utilize the machine to sell images to clients' and as such, the machine is unfit for use.

(Basically, you're trying as much as possible to put the onus back on them to make a decision which is favorable to you and your clients).

1 stuck pixel has been rejected many times before, but best of luck in your endeavor.

I had a dead sub-pixel on my 32" Acer LCD Tv. it showed up on an all blue screen as one dead pixel. On other colours the pixel would be the incorrect colour, it depended on what colour was meant to be displayed as if it would be a problem or not.

I tried the "massage" method, and it worked, though not sure this is possible with an Imac... I gently massaged the pixel with a soft cloth, and miraculously it came to life. It would the generally stay on. Sometimes it would be off again when turning the TV on, but a quick massage, the slightest of touches would bring it back. Eventually it stayed working.

In the depth sof this winter (I've now had the TV over 12 months) it actually returned, but again just a massage brought it back, and in fact once I didn't do that and after the TV had warmed up it was again gone. It hasn't returned for a while.

Stuck is much worse than dead however. Can you return it?

Assuming you really did "just" get it, you can DOA it, no questions asked.

They will send you a replacement one.

You can't touch the screen. Only the glass over the screen, so that remedy won't work

No, I'm fairly sure that if you are in the DOA window (14 days, 10 working days i think?) you can DOA it for whatever reason.

Did you get it from Apple directly? Either way, make a booking at the genius bar and get it looked at.

I'm sure you can return the refurb within 14 days based on any reason. Get your refund and get yourself another one.

Or call Apple.
