Hiya chaps.
When I go to lunch, i lock the screen(s) of my G5 Powermac. When I do this, the CPU freaks out. I came back from lunch today, and checked my iStat Menus cpu graph: ![]() Why does it do this? ![]() System info: System Info:

nope. the screen save i use is the 'computer name' one, because i didn't want to give my computer an excuse to freak out like it does.

Could it be paging from the RAM to your HD?
I see # Boot Disk Size: 82163MB ( 80GB ). Used: 90%

Wouldn't paging be happening all the time? This only happens when I lock the screen and the screen saver becomes active.
Before and after that, it calms down.
